February 19: MMK finishes second overall in the Chiltern League despite a low turnout at Biggleswade
On a wet and windy day at Shuttleworth College, Biggleswade, a small number of MMK runners ensured that the club just pipped Bedford for second overall.
The MMK cause was not helped when the college decided to cancel the U17 Men’s and Senior Women’s race due to car parking issues that left many queuing for more than an hour trying to find a parking spot. The women’s team would have been the strongest of the season.
There were wins overall for the MMK Under 20 Men’s Team and the Under 13 Girls Team. There were individual wins for Matthew Dicks (M20), John Skelton (M70) and Katie Webb (F13).
