October 14: Jack Meijer runs the Nuttycombe Invitational Cross Country in Wisconsin
Jack Meijer, representing the University of Wisconsin, competed in one of the biggest inter-University cross country meetings in the USA, the Nuttycombe Invitational, held in Madison.
For the first 6000m of the 8000m course, Jack was in the leading pack of around 50 runners, within 10 seconds of the leader. He dropped slightly over the last 2km, but had a great run overall to finish 41st, second man home for Wisconsin, just holding off team mate and MK Distance Project’s Charlie Wheeler, who won an epic 5000m race in Milton Keynes three months ago.
