April 26: Zak Freeland breaks club 1500m record, with brother, Leo, moving to third
Zak Freeland, representing Queen’s University of Charlotte, and Leo Freeland, representing Wingate University, had a rare competition in which they were both in the same 1500m race at the Charlotte Invitational. Both ran new personal bests, with Zak taking Jack Meijer’s club record by 0.03 seconds, while Leo improved his pb by more than two seconds to go third on the Club all-time rankings.
Two hours later, Zak ran the first five laps to set the pace in the 5000m before dropping out.
