September 12: Ross Paradowski wins the Watchless Wolverton 5

Twenty one runners competed in MMK’s annual Watchless Wolverton 5, a hard fought social event over parts of the original Wolverton 5 course, last held in 2019. Runners start and finish outside the Greyhound Pub at Haversham. The aim is to get as close to your predicted time as possible, without the help of any timing device.

Most were well outside their predicted time, inevitably by running too fast, but Ross Paradowski, a newcomer to the club, was just six seconds out, to win the event.

The next social event is the Keyhole Kanter at 6:30pm on Tuesday 8 October. This is a Handicap event where the slowest runners start first and the quickest runners start last, where, if the handicapper has done a good job, all runners cross the line close together!
