March 15: Olive Geary, Maddie Pearce and Sophia Chapman star in English Schools Cross Country
The English Schools Cross Country Championships were held at the Ardingly Showgrounds in West Sussex. Fourteen MMK runners were competing for Bucks, Beds or Oxon. The best Buckinghamshire team result came in the Inter Girls where Bucks were fifth. In the Inter Girls, Sophia Chapman was in the leading pack early on but the exertions of the previous weekend caught up with her and she was overtaken by Olive Geary, who came home 14th ahead of Sophia 23rd.
In the Senior Girls Maddie Pearce was the leading Buckinghamshire athlete in 22nd place.
The pictures above show the Bucks Inter and Senior Girls Teams.
Below are the Bucks results plus the MMK athletes who competed for Oxfordshire and Bedfordshire.
