April 26: 13 MMK athletes complete the London Marathon
On a day when two men ducked under 2 hours for the marathon and the women set a new world record for a women only race, 13 MMK runners ran the London Marathon, initially in cool weather, with very little breeze.
Ben Harrison knocked over a minute off his marathon pb to duck under 2:30 for the first time and move into fifth place in the MMK all-time lists. Dan Webber and Lara Bromilow were inside 3 hours, while Wendy Webber, Vince Julie and Mike Kerrigan finished just inside 3:10. Vince had a personal best as did first timers Domenico Buonocore, Paul Munday, Martinha Royles and Anna Mizen.
59,830 runners finished the race.
