May 9/10: MMK athletes out in force at the Bucks/Oxon AA Championships at Stantonbury
Marshall Milton Keynes hosted the Bucks and Oxon County Championships at Stantonbury for the first time since the two counties held combined championships. MMK athletes took advantage by turning out in large numbers, with over 40% of the 457 Bucks entries coming from the host club.
There were contrasting days, with the Saturday bathed in warm sunshine while the Sunday was windier and cold.
Among the stars turning out were D’mitri Varlack, competing in the High Jump after a three-year absence through injury, and Abi Fitton in her first competition of the year.
