March 14: Stuart Fogarty wins the March Kanter, but Harry Stiles takes the series.

There was a turnout of 15 runners  for the last of this Keyhole Kanter series.  This is more than we’ve ever had for the last race of the series.  And welcome to newcomer Alison Ray who decided to forego volunteering and see what life is like on the other side of the stopwatch.

Temperatures were 6C, with a cold wind and mostly dry underfoot, slippery in places.

A fantastic effort tonight from everyone… Malcolm Kidby started ahead of Harry and Andrew Stiles and managed to increase his lead over them.  Simon Booth started 10 seconds ahead of Stewart Wells and only just held him off at the finish line. And young Matthew Martin also just held Andrew Wasdell at bay on the finish line.  Very exciting to watch!

Stuart Fogerty won, followed by Jeremy Vick (second for the second month running) and Danny Simmons.

The top three male course times were Tom Inchley (14:25), Danny Simons (15:59) and Andrew Wasdell (16:02).

In the March Kanter results, green shade indicates a time above handicap, red shade indicates a time below handicap:
