May 5: Imogen King third in Bannister Steeplechase at Oxford
Imogen King was the only MMK athlete competing in the Bannister Miles meeting, held at the Oxford University track to celebrate the first four-minute mile held on the same track 81 years ago.
An innovation, introduced last year, was a One Mile Steeplechase. Imogen competed in a field of five female athletes. Lying fourth for most of the race, she moved into third place on the last lap and was rapidly closing on second place.
