December 3: Lara Bromilow goes to second on the MMK Marathon all-time rankings with 2:47:44 in Valencia
Lara Bromilow was one of several MMK athletes who made the trip to Valencia. Having set her lifetime best there of 2:51:29 two years ago, she was looking to go under 2:50 this time. Reaching halfway in 83:26 she was well under schedule and covering the second half in 84:18 she reduced her best by 3:45 to go second (behind Michelle Lee’s 2:35:51 set in 2004) in the MMK all-time marathon rankings.
Andrew Cowdrill reduced his best, set in this year’s London Marathon, by more than five minutes, while Matt Clements was five minutes down on his London 2023 best time.
The top picture shows Lara finishing with Matt Clements, while the second picture shows Andy with Lara and Matt.
